How can I get a FJ20 into the US?

All,

I'm trying to source a FJ20-DET for a future 510 project. Will engine importers that operate in the US be able to get this engine? I ask cause it's an '80s engine, and they only seem to deal in SR20s and CA18s.

Is there a business that anyone has dealt with in the past? Or, does anyone have a FJ20-DET to sell? I'd need the complete engine, wiring, and any advice.

Are there any fitting issues with a LHD 510 2 door and the turbo position on the FJ? My steering rack ain't gonna hit the turbo, will it? I'd think not as the manifold looks rather compact.

And before you ask, yes I want to use a FJ20 and not a SR20. I have my mind made up dammit!

I know you've probably resolved this by now. And as it is I can't provide you with any good info. But I'm sure that with the increasing popularity of "JDM" you should be able to find someone that imports FJs. I gotta ask though, why the FJ, I know I want a CA over an SR, but what are the perks of the FJ, you might be able swing me me into building my 510 with an FJ.
