I was wondering is it worth upgrading the ecu or replacing it with a plug and play computer from AEM. I just was wondering if they actually help

Re: Ecu??
An AEM stand alone is only good if you have upgraded your car quite a bit and you are a good programmer/tuner. Most people go with the AEM to make their own fuel maps and timing maps because they can get more out of it than they can with a piggyback controller.
Other than that, there isn't really any ECU upgrades for our cars other than getting the rev limiter raised.
