Re: tire size for corolla??

it is your daily driver, don't be sticking alot of money in it. If you want to spen money on something, put it in your formula. Just kepp oil and gas in your daily driver and drive it till the wheels fall off. Don't stick money in it. you will never get it back out of it.

Re: tire size for corolla??

Probably not.

I would stick to the stock size. The car isn't supposed to handle well, nor does it have the power to need a wider tire.
Throwing different size tires on it woud also throw off your speedometer.

Just get a good all season tire on it and it will be fine.

But Curtis, l thought maybe if l change the rim size would effect the speedo.. like getting a 17'' Rims would effect.. but l am planning to stick stock rims size, l guess 15'' and get wider tires. would this still effect my speedo? forexample, when u get 315s will that throw your speedo off??

also another question is, l just bought some window film, can l install those by myself??

thanks..

Re: tire size for corolla??

Tint is very time consuming to install yourself. I don't bother...I just fork the $$ over to a shop.

The speedo won't be off on mine. The 315's are as tall as the stock 275's.
315/35/17
315 is the width in mm
35 is a percentage. It is 35% of the width of the tire.
17 is wheel size in inches.
Since my 275's are 40% of 275mm...they are 110mm tall off the wheel lip. The 315's are 35% of 315mm....which is 110.25mm tall from the lip.
They won't throw off the speedo enough to show.

Re: tire size for corolla??

I've done the window tint film a few times, really sucks unless you have alot of patience. I ended up taking the window out and putting it flat on the picnic table (I'm not as lucky as luos, couldn't do it on the kitchen table ), sprayed a ton of water on it, put it on and moved it around until it was positioned right, squegeed the water out from under it and had to redo it a few times as the film kept moving. Took 3 days to do 4 windows, had to stop a few times so I wouldn't break the window.

well l guess l got no choice to keep a car which is sick and costs ton of insurance and gas.
