common problems 2000 blazer
Have a 2000 Blazer LT 4 wheel drive 53000 miles. How common are ball joints(lower) needing replacement and lower intake leaking coolant and transmission cooler lines leaking? Just went for inspection sticker and these items were diagnosed as needing replacement. Note there were no symptoms of these problems.

Re: common problems 2000 blazer
Intake gasket should be good for a while. Mine just went out on me at 181k miles. Oil cooler lines usually go bad before transmission lines do for some reason.

yup. I replaced all that (oil cooler hoses instead of tranny cooler line) and wheel bearing hub assemblies around 60k.

And don't forget about the notorious Ignition Switch, the Pinon seal, or the Radiator.
