92 Autimatic To Manual Conversion

I want to change my automatic geo to a manual but I have no idea where to start, what parts I'll need, how to do it (but that wont stop me)

In short this is what I need:
A Parts list, pictures would be nice so I reconize them at a junkyard
Directions
A heads up to what problems may/will happen.

If there is a website with step by step direction and pictures I'd love to check it out. I doubt there is one though.

Thanks in advance.

Re: 92 Autimatic To Manual Conversion

Best way is to sell the car with the auto and buy one with a manual. If you really are determined to convert your auto then you will need to change not just the transmission, but also the linkage, pedals and the ecm as well. Probably will need to fabricate a mount or two as well. Might or might not have different drive axles and consequently hubs as well. The reason you are unlikely to find a website on such a conversion is that it really isn't worth the time/effort when you can get one with a manual for <$2000.
