help me choose

im looking for a project car .. im was thinking about the wrx but the wear on the tires from awd isnt that appealing ... i was also thinking about an old school tuner such as an ae86 (which would be near impossible to find) .. if u can just give me a list of good tuner cars such as that .. anything besides the honda/acura scene .. i would appreciate the help

Re: help me choose

if you want an old school car and think that an AE86 is too hard to find then look at a Datsun 510, 710, B210, or Z car or a first generation 300ZX

Re: help me choose

ae86's are hard to find, especially a GTS, which is the only one worth a damn. plus then, they are slow unless you drop $k's into it.

an older 510, 280, 300 datsun is a great project car. they share a lot of the same parts as some newer nissans, and can be made to go fast, they also look awesome when done right. and would most likely be cheap to build up.

you might also consider an early to mid 90's mrs/mr2. those cars are awesome also and can be made to perform. possibly even a gt4/alltrac celica. those are hard to find, not too many people know what they are, and they are sleepers, plus AWD. but as you said, AWD isnt that appealing.

even a mark 3 supra would be a good choice.

personally, when i get a house, (i want a garage) i will be getting an old 280 or 300 and restore it and mod it.
