Airbag flashing code 51, Please help

Hi all i have a 1994 Grand Marquis 4.6 engine, it has 135k miles on it. Recently the airbag light started flashing 5 times then 1 time then longer pause and it repeats itself. Is this something i can fix myself or only the dealer? Any help will be great. Thanks.
