So everyone is telling me to buy a clutch kit!??
Last week i went to a local Shop and had my Transmission serviced.. The next day i hear this weird noise. So ofcourse, I take it back to the shop and have them check it out, make sure they put in the right fluid and shit. So they test it and everything and it comes out correct. Come to find out my Throw out bearing is worn. So i called up a few Transmission shops and they all told me that i'm better of replacing my whole clutch system, which includes the clutch, Bearing, Flywheel....What do you guys think?? And for those who have done this, how much did it cost you to replace the clutch?? I've been quoted between $500-800.
EDIT:: I'm going on 99,000 miles. Don't know much history on my car but i'm sure everthing is still Original.

Re: So everyone is telling me to buy a clutch kit!??
you dont need to replace the flywheel, just have it resurfaced, but while they are in there you might as well get a new clutch, labor is what kills you on this. Shop around, usually if you buy your own clutch labor is around $300
