for 300

What do you guys think is the best sub for around $300? i listen to 75/25 country/rock. also, what is the difference between sae and awg power wire?

never seen SAE wire sizes ...... AWG is the normal standard. If you look in IASCA and USACi rule books (and some amp intruction books), it will have a chart that shows what size wire you need for the amps you are drawing and the length of the cable. There are plenty of good subs for $300 .... you might be able to get a pair of good 10" models for that price. That would suit your musical tastes.

I was thinking ascendant audio's havoc. i have a hifonics bx1505d amp.

didnt think they made a bx1505d?.. bx1500d, bx1605d, maybe theres a bxi1505d? just curious although both (or all three) are somewhat the same thing

i think it is the special edition of the bx1500d. (said "special 20th anniversary edition heatsink design", or somthing to that effect on the box).
I originally bought the bx1500d but when it arrived it didn't work, so i sent it back and they sent me the bx1505d for the same price.
what do you guys think of ascendant audio's new line of subs, esp. the havoc?
