93 Cavalier stalls after reaching over 65 mph

i just bought a 93 cavalier 4 door it run fine untill i take it on the high way
if stop it stall out it will start right away as soon as i put in drive dies again
it do that for few min then it drive again .but if i keep the speed aroud 50
no problems put new plug in no change

sounds like your over drive is getting stuck. on front of your transmission there is a square four wire plug. try disconnecting it and test drive it if it fixes the problem then dont plug it back in you really dont need it. it just gives you a little bit better gas milage.

well the labor involved to replace the torq converter lock up solinoid would be very costly, and not all cars come with over drive so some cars from the factory dont have it.
