almost spung a bearing

Today i was going home from work ,so i checked my oil.it was fucking dry.i don't know why the oil guage was on normal pressure.i hate my valve seals. its leaking oil ,but it wasn't like this before.i don't know how to change them and it cost me $1000+ to change them.i guess the mechanic messed up my crank seal and cam shaft seals too when i did 60k mile service.i changed those seals too.i saw my chassis on left side was greasy,so it should come from timing belt.i was so lucky i checked my oil today.

Re: almost spung a bearing

Stock gauges are POS. Aftermarket oil pressure gauge is a great thing to have.

Re: almost spung a bearing

The past owner of my car beat the living hell out of it. I had the car for a few weeks and it died with me. FIVE spun bearings! and the main crank bearings were spun also. oh well at least I have a good reason for a rebuild now

Re: almost spung a bearing

How do you know if you have a spun bearing... cuz it sounds like I might have one... I have a cylinder that keeps blowing spark plugs out, and it's not running right on that cylinder

Re: almost spung a bearing

Spun bearing you will hear. It will be banging around in your engine, and get worse and worse and worse with rpm. It is very loud and usually pretty obvious.
