HAHA, yeah my friend pointed it out too! I kicked it off when I turned upside down on the seat to get under the dash (while it was in..) because I didnt want to mess up the seat (which will be replaced by my SI seats very soon.

Re: The time has come...56k maybe?
Wow, looks like quite a job. Now I have a question for you and you'll have to fogive me because I can be dumb.
My wiring is a total hack job. I went from auto DX, to auto ZC, and then to B16 and my wiring looks like it was the first swap the shops have ever done. Now, if I wanted to clean things up both inside the hood and in the car, could I do what appears to be happening here and just put in all Si harnesses? Frodo, I like your car. |

Re: The time has come...56k maybe?
Yeah I am putting an SI harness in my DX...So ar it all matches up, but I think I may have found a plug over on the left side that isnt as wide as the DX, I didnt have enough time before work to really check it out. My headlights work, and the engine turns over...But I still have about 6 or 7 plugs to put in. I did notice some differences, my ac wiring doesnt have the 2 diodes like the old one did, and its a little different elsewhere...

Re: The time has come...56k maybe?
Well, the interior harness is from a 91 SI, and the engine is from an 88 HF, they match up pretty well so far, but I cant really tell until I get it all together, but Im beginning to realise that the interior harness and the rear harness dont match from DX to SI...meaning that the SI has a 12 pin plug with 10 wires, and the DX has on the rear side a 20 pin with 12 wires, but the interior has 19 wires, they just dont connect on the other side....I tried repinning before I realised that it was 10 wires and not 12...but now my door beeps at least...I may have to go get a dx harness from one in a junkyard that i know of...its an auto but the rear harness is the same. dome light works and the headlights..engine cranks over but with no fuel pump (rear harness) or main relay kicking on I wasnt aiming for it to start...
More pics... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() My car is wireless!! Transfer rate...0 mph.

Re: The time has come...56k maybe?
88-89 and 90-91 harnesses don't work with eachother. thats gonna be a pain in the ass to do like that.

Re: The time has come...56k maybe?
How are they different? If it's just pins then Ill switch em around, but if its really all that different then Ill have to keep looking...its not the engine harness thats bugging me, its the interior...

Re: The time has come...56k maybe?
Well the interior is out of a 90 SI, the engine harness is an 88 and it all plugged up just fine, except for one sensor that was originally on the right side of the IM that is now on the backside of mine, so it will have to be lengthened about 5 inches... Its my interior that is really worrying me, I think I may have to get an SI rear harness...because the new one has only 10 pins on the plug vs. the 12 in the car...
