Engine practically dies when lites on.
My Metro has started idling lower than normal and when I turn on anything electrical : lites.fan etc it pulls way down and dies. Doesnt do it all the time . It is intermitent but getting worse.
It does fast idle when the AC is on though so that circuit must be working. I replaced PCV again but no help and cant find any vacuum leaks. Is there a idle increase circuit on these metros when it senses higher electrical current or idle speed. 93 metro. 1.0 L 5 speed. Thanks for the help. |

Re: Engine practically dies when lites on.
Yep, there's an idle control solenoid on the back of the manifold. Perhaps it's dead? You can check them with a stethoscope(listen for a clicking sound). A service manual will explain the whole process.
