Headlight Problems

I bought a 2002 chevy venture about a month ago. After a week or so, the headlights started working intermittently. This is a problem since I have a newborn and need a reliable vehicle. I brought it to the dealership and they have not been able to diagnose the problem. All of the other lights work perfectly, but for some reason the headlights only work some of the time (this includes the DRLs). Two things to consider: 1. the windshield is leaking and I'm not sure if perhaps the moisture is the cause, and 2. there is a remore started hooked into the van, but not completely setup. Also, the van was involved in a minor front-end collision that caused both light assemblies to be replaced. Please help--this is driving me crazy!

Hi crazyk8 & welcome to the forums!

If both the DRLs + the headlights are intermittent, I would suspect some loose or corroded wiring near the Body Control Module (BCM). I believe it is located near the passenger side kick panel. I would also suspect this because you said that you have a leak at the windshield.

But it could be just loose connections near the headlight & turn signal assemblies, since both were replaced. Those are pretty easy to get out and check (see link below).

Headlight & Turn Signal Assembly

Please let us know what you find & if you have any more questions, just ask away.

Take Care,
