Will the M5 have the i-drive?

I was reading a magazine which said that next year the 5 series would be redone and with a i drive, well since the m5 is a modified 5 series is it going to have the i drive?

but that would most likely mean that the why-drive is in place of a 3-pedal manual transmission, which IMO would be a shame.

I heard this a while ago on an M5 board, the next 5 series will have a less complicated version of I-Drive, and the next M5 will be available with the SMG trasmission that is currently available in the M3.

I dont know why u guys razzle over the i-drive. it is very smart, creative, and although it has the technology of a 80's computer, it is a very good start. Its simple to use. u obviously dont do it while u drive, but thats what u do while u wait for the red light to turn green. and if u dont get to teh point u want to, u just leave it there and it wont move. its better than using a mouse lol.
