Re: 94' Accord Starts Then Dies

i believed that i had a similiar problem. i took it to the mechanic shop and the chip the mechanic found it under the steering wheel, under the fuses section.

that's all i could help you man. i don't really know the technical name for that chip called.

you could check to see if you recognize the chip.

sorry and good luck.

Did a search and those are the threads relevant to the problem, although they have varying answers and just trouble-shooting advice. Basically, I'd start by getting a service manual (Helms) if you don't already have one, it's a great resource. Then I'd start by checking out the Ignition Control Module and the Ignition Switch, and the wiring associated with them. There is probably where your problem lies. Lastly, I'd find a ECU pin diagram, and make sure the correct wires were not severed (rare, but it does happen).

Anything in any of those threads about the main relay or fuel system, I'd ignore for now.

Your 1996 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 is the 92nd out of the 315 that were made that year. Only 21 of which are exactly identical.
