1985 Sedan Deville Trans. problem

Hello guys

I just got this Old Deville. The car starts runs decent but I have no forward gears, only reverse. The trans fluid looks a little dirty but not that bad. I am figuring worst case the clutches are shot. I was thinking about cleaning the valve body. I was wondering if any any one had any other sugestions. The car isn't worth rebuilding the trans, just looking for a quick fix. If not I will part it out. thanks Mike

Trans has to come out, no short cut, no valve body repair in this case!

That's what I was thinking, that the trans was in need of an overhaul. O well that's not going to happen, the car will be parted out.
