Vibration while driving, except when turning right.

96 Cavalier, 4dr
While driving, there is a vibration i can feel through the floor, and a rubbing/vibrating sound, as if the tires were rubbing on the wheelwell. I checked to see if anything was out of place, but theres no damage to the wheelwell, and nothing is visibly rubbing the tire, even when the steering wheel is cranked in either direction.
When i turn right, even a on a gentle curve in the road, the sound goes away. But as soon as i straighten out the wheel, the noise is back again. Left turns are just as noisy...it only dissapears when i turn right.
Any ideas what this could be?

I would replace the passenger side wheel bearing, I just had that exact problem recently, replaced the passenger side bearing and it was gone.

Re: Vibration while driving, except when turning right.

I recently posted this to another thread. Sounds like you may need to read this more. I had a problem with a grinding noise in the right front when I would turn to the left. Turns out when I did make a left turn, no matter how small of a movement, The exhaust pipe near the engine would rattle against the frame. It seemed to get worse as time went by. I took a grinder to the frame and removed a little metal. Grinding noise is gone and metal removal was minimal. You may want to check into this type of possibility

Re: Vibration while driving, except when turning right.

Hey, thanks guys.
I just had a new exhaust pipe put on, so maybe its not mounted right, or something is loose? My first concern was that it might be a wheel bearing, but since it just started after the exhaust was replaced....it sounds like it might be related to that. Thanks for all the input guys.

i need to replace my wheel bearing
my car is doing the same thing you car is, but i know for a fact its my bearing. Just jack the car up and spin the tire, if it wobbles then you know you gotta replace it. or if there is any give if you push back and forth on the top and bottom of the tire, it should be solid and not wiggle.
