88 suberban no tail lights.HELP!!

I have a 1988 suburban and the tail lights stoped working. no turn in the back but it has turn in the front. if you have the hazzard on you do not see them from the back but when you push on the brakes the hazard lights stop flashing and stay on in the front?

Very first place to look is at trailer wiring. Are you wired for trailer lights? If so check check those wires to see if you have a short; if possible disconnect the trailer wiring and see if you have tail lights.

Throw a flasher in it, these can throw some gremlin like ground problems when they go bad.
