WIP: Nissan Skyline R32 GTS-t

Just picked the Fujimi Nissan Skyline R32 GTS-t out of the storage.

Here some box and inbox photo's:

allright..... What are my plans for this one?

- CF hood
- CF exhaust (homemade)
- CF thrunk
- Other wheels (don't know wich one)
- Racing seats
- Sports steeringwheel
- Frontspoiler

For the frontspoiler I will use one from a Revell Integra. But I don't know wich one

I think the first one looks better @ the rest of the car. But I hope the frontbumper will not be TOO low.

I'm not so sure about the colour but I think Metallic Black or something like that will looks great on it with the carbon parts.

Kris.

I like Carbon Fiber on Dark cars, it's nice and subtle. Personally I like the 2nd lip, you should almost c/f that as well. As far as wheels, I think TE37s look great on almost anything. This should make for a nice build! Keep us posted!

My suggestion on colour would be arctic White body and bumpers. With a gloss Black roof, and your carbon bonnet and boot. That would look awesome with some dished out black rims.

Interesting project, the carbon fibre idea sounds good. Looking forward to seeing more progress.

Re: WIP: Nissan Skyline R32 GTS-t

I dig the second lip as well.

As for colors, the skylines I see in metallic grey and metallic black are definently the sexiest. Metallic grey + carbon bonnet + deep dish gold/silver rims?

Re: WIP: Nissan Skyline R32 GTS-t

Ok thanx for your advise

I'll use the 1st frontlip

O btw it's al installed . When I looked at the frontlip i thought maybe a complete bodykitt is nicer. So I looked in my sparepartsbox and found a Ferrari 360 modena. I cutted the sideskirts out and these are for the skyline.

I don't wanted that the rearbumper becomes too low so I decided to make on both sides some skirts. I made these from a BMW M3 rearbumper :P

I also made my choose about the wheels. It will be the OZ wheels from a Peugot 206 WRC 2000. I painted them matt chrome.

advise is always welcome!

Kris.

Re: WIP: Nissan Skyline R32 GTS-t

Today I had free from school so I did some progress

First I build a exhaust in Jap-style and painted it chrome:

And I was thinking about the interior and searched for a racing seat. Only the driver will sit on one. Painted it Matt black and the backside will be in kevlar.

I also made some examples for the hood and the thrunk which will be in CF.

Than I sanded the body and gave it a lay of primer. On the photo's you can see some faults on the putty work but I will fix this this evening :P

here some faults:

Maybe the sideskirts are a little bit too big but for some reason I like it :P So no more progress on the skirts.

Tomorrow I hope to paint the body. In metallic black.

Kris.

Re: WIP: Nissan Skyline R32 GTS-t

Hmm no reactions???????

Couple of days ago I painted the body with 4 lays of Metallic Black and 2 lays of Clear coat. Today I polished the body and I'm really proud of the paintwork Man that thing shines

Before I spray another lay of clear coat I'll apply the carbon decals.

Here are the pics:

The paint is Motip Chroom spray. Really good finish but you have to spray thin lays on it. Also it's not scratch-free. Mostly I let the painted parts dry for 3 weeks Than you can grap it in your hands.

Yes after I had take the photo I saw that it was not so smooth. So I sanded it before I painted the body.

The metallic black looks great! Also, those wheels are perfect for this car. Nice work!

Re: WIP: Nissan Skyline R32 GTS-t

Yeah the CF is on his place now. I sprayed 2 lays of clear coat and polished it. Really beautifull colour I must say.

I really don't know wich colours I must use for the interior. I think Red/Black looks cool and aggrasive with the black body colour....
What do you suggest??

Kris.
