exhaust pitches

well im bout to finally buy an exhaust now. but ive had some friends that bought one and it would have a gay high pitch noise. i dont want to make that mistake of getting a high pitch exhaust. do any of you guys or if youve bought one for a SR and has a great sound, can you tell me what brand it is. thanks

Re: exhaust pitches

its more about what engine you have than what exhaust you get. the only time ive heard an exhaust sound gay on a big 4cyl is when the silencer is in on any fart can, then it just sounds like its super restricted. like its farting through a tin coffee straw. right now the exhaust rusted out on my blue car so im running just a straight pipe and apart from the nasty sound at partial throttle low rpm, it sounds not bad at full throttle higher rpm. just loud as fuck.

Re: exhaust pitches

If its a turbo motor.......i dont think you can really go wrong as long as you buy from a reputable company. I heard a jic titanium today on a turbo rx-8. I hear more engine and bov than exhaust. HKS, APEXi, GReddy, RS*R, Tanabe are good and all make decent sounding exhausts. If you want to buck up, Fujitsubo, ARC, JIC etc all make titaniums that sound nice too. I think fujitsubo and HKS have sound clips of there exhausts on certain model's of cars. I think you would like the HKS hi-power system. Angled can, coated pipe for protection, pre-muffler, and adds a nice amount of hp's. Its a decent price too if you look around.

I have the KTS titanium. I havent heard it yet....but i dont think ill be disappointed lol. Maybe on NA form a little, but iv heard plenty NA exhausts on 240's and they sound decent. But the KTS is straight pipe with no resonator so it may be slightly louder. And the titanium adds a more crispness sound to the tone of the exhaust.

Re: exhaust pitches

I had the N1 Single on my SR, BEAUTIFUL sound, and no rust.

2 years I ran with it.

Re: exhaust pitches

i was sooo close to buying the HKS hipower.......until i saw that it didnt have stainless piping. im sorry but i dont want a 500 dollar exhaust that will rust through in a couple years. but thats what i have to look at living in a northern snow state.
im also gonna get the kts titanium. im sorry but i have been looking for a TI exhaust for a long time that costs under 1k so it only looks like im jumping on the bandwagon

bandwagon? I dont think many people have it lol. RW said that there were like 5-6 that he knew of. Atleast you will most likely be the only one with it in your area. You will love it. Its the first thing i see every mourning i wake up. It makes you feel good. And plus if a robber comes, it makes a great weapon. Its a long, lite, strong pole. Slap a punk bitch. Everyone that comes over is amazed at the lightness lol. Its to funny to watch them. My 3 year old cousin can pick it up.
