2001 Ford Ranger Door Lock Problem

Trying to help my dad out. He owns a 2001 ford ranger extended cab with around 70k miles on it. It seems that the locks for his two rear doors do not latch well. Because of this his doors shake some while driving and let in a lot of air. You can feel a draf on the passengers side. Sometime the interior lights even come on. The trucks never been in an extended per carfax or as far as we can tell. Any help or do we just need to replace all the door locks? We've tried greasing them and it hasn't helped. Is there a good place online to order the parts from?

Thanks

Are the latches adjusted properly? Take it to a body shop and see what they say. What is the condition of the door seals?
What is an extended? I've never seen a carfax report so I don't know anything about them.

Probably means accident instead of extended.

Re: 2001 Ford Ranger Door Lock Problem

i have a 2000 supercab that dose the same thing. you just have to adjust the striker latchs and everything shuts nice. start with the back doors and get them to shut nice and snug. then the front ones usually don't need anything since they latch on the back doors.the fronts will be tighter cause the backs are tighter.
