First Car

Hello everyone, I just got back to posting on this forum and it's been a good while since I've posted.Anyways,I am wondering what you guys think about my first car choices.I need to know which are the cheapest on insurance, but still are modifiable for later and can be made quick.I've narrowed my choices down to the 1990-94 mitsubishi eclispe\eagle talon gst,1992-2000 acura integra gsr,1992-2000 Honda Civic,1988-91 Honda CRX,1986-1992 toyota supra turbo, and 1990-95 Toyota MR-2 turbo. The reason's I chose these cars is because I have experience working with my dad on GSR's,Eclipses,Civics, and The MKIV supra TT and toyota mr2 turbo.I was thinking about a 1993-1997 Supra TT, but insurance is insane. If you guys could help and even make some suggestions of your own I would appreciate it,I also would like some domestics if you guys have any suggestions on some. The cars need to be under 10 grand though, that's the most I'll probably be able to spend to get any of these cars.Thanx, and any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: First Car

The civic, if you have only liability will be cheap (full coverage could range from expensive to very expensive, depending on where you live) and the CRX will be pretty cheap. The rest, if you are 16 like I am assuming, would be very expensive.

Re: First Car

What about a sleeper? Insurance is going to be a lot on any of those vehicles (albeit cheaper on the Civic and CRX). Unless we have different definitions of the term 'cheap' they're all a lot to insure.

A 95-99 Maxima posts some solid times and can be done up very well for not too much cash. Plus insurance is cheap. But if that's not your cup of brandy I'd put my name down for a Toyota MR-2.
