Re: gears

Depends. I never take my car on the highway... I have 4.10s with an Auburn LSD. All I can say is I will NEVER go back.

Re: gears

Like Kevin said, it depends. I got 4.11's, with a 305tpi and 700r4. Most will say it's a really bad combo, up top anyways. But it's really fun down low, i really don't care for all that high speeding... right now anyways. Until i get some significant power increase of some sort.

Re: gears

i would go with 3.73 if you still have to do some highway driving. although the 4.10 would be bad ass.

Hey philly how much are u paying to get your tranny rebuilt?

Re: gears

I would do 4.10's (4.11's) - then again I really don't care to go much over 90 @ 2500-3000 rpms. Richmond's website has a calculator that'll help you figure out what you want ... WWW.RichmondGear.Com

Re: gears

my boy who's doing the work said it was going to run 1400, but my car is under warranty so he bumped up the price a little, and he's throwing in a 3200 stall and a shift kit. he was trying to find a way to build me a race tranny so it would cost me very little but it ended up being around 900 out of my pocket. i would have loved to do that because he charges 2400 for that job, but i spent madd cash on tires, a trq arm, and not to mention the cash i droped on the sound in my car last month...but im sure what ill end up with will be sweet. and i think im gonna go with the 3:73's i like my top end, and i do alot of highway driving. thanks guys

Re: gears

3.73's is a pretty much perfect street/strip ratio for a 4L60-E LT1
