Air Temp Sensor

With many people installing POP style cone air filters, what did you do with the Air Temperature Sensor in the airbox (if you had one in yours)? Did you relocate it? Discard it? I currently have it exposed and sitting in front of the POP filter. I am considering drilling a hole in my brand new intake pipe to install the sensor if it is important for drivability

There is another thread regarding this. I posted a picture of my K&N with the sensor attached. I drilled holes under the K&N logo.

I also posted the picture from www.se-r.net that shows the $tillen filter where they have the sensor located directly in the center of the chrome cap.

The newer $tillen chrome end cap does not have the K&N logo on it from what I understand.
