squeeky front end (((HELP)))

my front end is squeeking like crazy when I turn the steering wheel it squeeks I was told that its my ball joints, is this true????? (((HELP)))

Could be ball joints or tie rods. I had a hatch that made so much noise it was embarassing to drive, turned out the chassis where the struts mount were cracked on both sides.

how do you know when the tie rods are bad?
