Oil Cooler Lines

Hi,
Recently I Have Been Losing Over A Quart Of Oil A Week. I Have Atributed It To Everything From Headgaskets To Valve Cover Gaskets. Well I Think I Locked Down Some Or Most Of My Problem. I Replaced The Oil Lever Sensor Because It Failed And Was Leaking Oil From The Plug And While I Was Under There I Had My Wife Run The Car A Bit. The Oil Filter Housing Has The Two Oil Cooler Lines Coming Off Of It, Presumably An Inlet And Outlet Hose. They Go From A Metal Line To A Crimped On Hose. Where The Metal Crimp Meets The Hose The Lines Are Leaking Badly. I Did Some Looking Around And Found The Part Numbers But Not Anything About Replacement Difficulty. The Hoses Are Somewhat Cheap From The Dealer (never Thought I Would Ever Say That) But How Easy Is It To Fish Around? I Was Thinking Of Cutting The Hose And Splicing A New Section Ofthe Hose (metal Crimp And All) With A Metal Hose Barb. Has Anyone Had Any Problems Replacing These?

I was just before replacing the leaky oil cooler hoses on my 95 this past summer when my A/C compressor bit the dust so I just had the dealer do them while they had it in. They had to remove the right wheel splash guard anyway to get to the compressor so was probably alot easier for them to get to the hoses. Think they still charged me full price though: 25646231 Hose Asm $51.87, 25646229 Hose Asm $32.08, plus $225.57 Labor. I wouldn't risk trying to splice in peices of hose. So much trouble might as well go for complete new ones. Looks like an easy job for a contorsionist who is good with mirrors.
