Exhaust...

I'm going to be getting a new exhaust system and putting it on my Tahoe, 2000 Z71 5.7 Liter, and want to know which system sounds the best. Right now I'm thinking about using either a Magnaflow or Flowmaster. I want awesome sound both at idle, acceleration, and while driving. I don't want the sound to be overpowering inside the vehicle and I don't want to wake my neighbors up either. I'm looking for a fairly loud low tone thats just awesome to hear. Thanks for any help, Skip

Re: Exhaust...

Then you definately need to go with the Magnaflow. It has a nice low rumble when power is applied but won't rattle your fillings out at highway speeds like the flowmaster will.

Re: Exhaust...

I had a Flowmaster on my 98 Tahoe 350 and it sounded great. I didn't get the cat-back system because...well, cause I didn't want it. I was originally going to get two 40 seris and stack them side by side to make it 'true' duals all the way back, but I ended up getting a single 50 seris and it worked out perfectly. It had a dual inlet and a single outlet just like stock. Nice throaty sound at lower speeds and midrange, and a nice 'hum' on the highway. Didn't increase interior sound too much, or at least not so much that it was annoying. I do not recommend, however, the 50 seris Delat Flow. Just didn't have the kick. Just FYI. MM

Re: Exhaust...

Yeah, I went to Magnaflows website and listened to some of their audio. It sounded really nice so that is definately one option I'm going to have on the table. I'll have to see if I can find anything on the 50 series Flowmaster. I'd like to hear what the differences are between the two. Thanks for the help, Skip

Re: Exhaust...

they have sound clips on the flowmaster sight too, but personally i liked the sounds of the magnaflow from the sites, but then again those sounds on the sights are all best possible outcomes, not exactly what we get....
