should I get an intake?

hey. just got a 98 SE. thinking about purchasing a JWT pop charger or stillen intake? im a little new to the whole mod thing and just looking for some advice. my main concern is screwing something up or affecting the reliability of my max's engine. the car is perfect and I'm weary about negatively affecting it in any way. probably wont ever go with a new exhaust to free up the other end so is an intake a good idea for me?

honest answer will be no, especially if your car is automatic.

Only difference really is the sound when accelrating.

You can also get a generic cone intake and adapter for $40 and save the rest of the $$$

get intake just for the sound it makes. its really cool!

yes the sound is completely worth it! you'll wanna speed and show off yer car just cause it sounds beefy!

Well I run an auto with a JWT and it is alot louder, lost some low end, picked up some around the 35k rpm range. You will drive the car harder if you put in an intake in just to hear the roar...a disease that everyone I've met with an intake picks up. So driving harder = more abuse on the engine than normal. So it's up to you!

honestly man..just get the intake .. it with out a doubt sounds better but I myself have dedinetly felt some horsepower gains...with the cai intake... that could be becuase I have a y pipe and full cat back..but I have to say ..... get the dam intake you wont be sorry.. now hurry up an order it .. go order it now..looll
