Did I have a souped up miata?
I had a 91 miata, my grandfather has a 90, both are 5sp. The 90 had an open diff, mine had a LSD. Mine sounded good his sounded like a lawn mower. His was in much better condition but it was way slower than mine. Is there any significant power differences between these two years?

Re: Did I have a souped up miata?
you may have had the 1.8L version compared to the 1.6L motor commonly found in older mx5s.
yes there is a significant difference between the 2, not sure exactly when the 1.8L mx5 were introduced though |
