Will 225/40/18's fit my 90 Accord?
So here's the deal. I got 18 x 8's. Had 215/35/18's on em. Put em on my 1990 accord lx. They fit. But, it rode like SHIT. Bumpy..... very bumpy. So, i wanna move up to some bigger tires. I wanna go with 225/40/18's.(i know, i know, i cant ask for a smooth ride with 18's, but i just wanna protect my rims from all those goddam bumps.) It's lookin like its gonna be a tight fit. The inside edge of the tire was already getting pretty close to that arm that comes up and around the tire/wheel (a-arm?), i just wanna make sure its not gonna touch with the 225/40 tires. Has anybody ever tried this, or anything similar to it? Or, does anybody just know for sure if it will fit?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Will 225/40/18's fit my 90 Accord?
haha similiar situation. i have a 1996 honda accord lx, i rode on the 18" same type of rubbers. bumpy, very bumpy. i have the Kyowa KR316 (copy cat of 5zigen FNO1RC) ... 215/35/18 very bumpy ... now i'm riding on the 225/40/18. i wouldn't say it is smoother but better, less bumpier.
215/35/18 i had it with the Motegi FF7 ... the rims are heavy and feels like shit whenever drove over a pot hole ... i could feel my car suffers. depends on if you car is lowered, mine is 1/2" lowered in the back, 1" lowered in the front. Kyowa KR316 18" ... 225 / 40 / 18
