O2 Sensor help

Hello,

I'm in need of new oxygen sensor for my 1992 1.6 Miata. I want the one that is aftermarket and no need to cut wires and no need to use original connector. I serched on internet and Denso and NTK came up, but not sure if these are direct fit or not. I do not want to buy new one from Mazda dealer nor buy universal one that I'm not sure if it's going to fit or not.

Does anyone know what aftermarket O2 sensor is direct fit for sure? I'd like to here from someone who has actually replaced with aftermarket O2 sensor on 1990-1993 1.6 L model.

Thanks for your help.

Re: O2 Sensor help

I've never seen an after-market 02 sensor that was a direct fit. I'm not sure why you are concerned with splicing the wires. You could just cut the connector off the old O2 sensor, and splice it onto the new sensor. Then you can still use the connector - and not have to cut the wire that is connected to the ECU. This is what I've done with all my after-market sensor replacements.
