adding speaker in doors
I'm wondering if any has installed additional door speakers on Dodge Caravans to create a 6 speaker system. I have a 98 Sport and found what appears to be a speaker plug inside the front fender. Looks like an access hole for the wiring to pass through to the door. Any ideas?

Re: adding speaker in doors
More than likely . Lower end models came with 4 speakers , 2 in the dash and 2 in back in the side panels. The next level stereo added 2 extra speakers in the doors , in the current genration they are 6X9 inchers . Probably if you just added 2 new good speakers it would fire right up and sound great . You'll be amazed how good a good pair of speakers will make your stock radio sound . The reason stock radios sound like crap is they use $2 speakers in the setup , it's not the head unit itself though stock units do not have the power of aftermarket. I added a pair of 6X9 Rockford Fosgate speakers to the low end stereo that came with my full size van once and it was unbelievable what a difference it made.

Re: adding speaker in doors
Let us know how it goes Walleye. My '00 Voyager only has 4 speakers -- 2 more in the doors would have to be a big improvement.
