Just wondering if there is any adapter that would allow me to put on a set of Mazzi 22" rims off a Ford F150 onto a Chevy Tahoe? I have included all the specs below. If it would work how far would the wheel stick out from the fender…if any? Reason I ask is that I am getting a killer deal on these wheels and would hate to pass it up.
Chevy Tahoe Specs: 22 x 9.50 6x5.5 Inch Offset = 18 Ford F150 Specs: 22 x 9.50 6x135mm Offset = 30 Difference= 6 X 5.5 Inch to 5.40 Inch (135mm) (Just a Guess on the 5.4???) Wheel Offset Difference: Current Wheel Specs- Width: 5.5 Offset: 18 New Wheel Specs- Width: 5.4 (135mm) Offset: 30 New Inner Clearance: 11mm Less (the inside of the wheel to the strut housing) New Outer Clearance: Retract by 13mm (position of the outside edge of the wheel) |

Re: Wheel Adapter Question/Help?
Here is a response I got back from an adapter company.
"We'd be glad to machine the wheel adapters to adapt the F150 rims onto your Tahoe. They would be 1.25" thick, which would move the wheel out by about 3/4". The adapters are CNC machined from 6061 billet aluminum. Our billet adapters come with heavy duty studs already pressed in, as well as lugnuts, and would be $155/pair for the set above." What do you all think? With spending $300+ on adapters the deal is not sounding too good anymore.?. |
