diesel engine swap

im new to this forum and i was wondering if the diesel engine in my 1986 trooper 2 would fit in my 1989 trooper 2. the diesel gets like 35mpg highway and i would like it in my lifted trooper, which died. anyone done this kinda swap before or know if it would fit? i have lokked at the two cars and the motor mounts look the same. any input is appreiciated, thankyou for your time. the '89 trooper has a four cylinder gas.
