'96 Sunfire - Power & Idle Issues

I think I asked this before but can't find the answer. I don't think the searches on these forums are too accurate.
Anyhoo....
I have a '96 Sunfire and overall it runs fine, however when it idles for a while (like in a drive thru line) it sputters a bit. It sputters more the longer I wait in line (freakin' Arby's takes forever to make your food!) and when I come out of the drive thru the car often loses power. I push the gas but the engine doesn't react at all. Sometimes it recovers after a while and other times I have to turn it off and restart it.

Any theories?
