RPM,s are slow to come down
My 96 1500 2wd 5 speed with the 5.0 has a problem with the Idle staying up for 3 to 4 seconds after I push the clutch in. Seems to be getting worse.
Any thoughts?

You probably need to clean or replace the idle air control valve. They get gumed up and get slow. Hope this helps.
