Sorry-I thought you guys were refering to part of the underside of the body of the car. If your looking for neon lights there's quite a few things that you should consider. Firts of all you can get neon lights for pretty cheap. But those aren't the lights that you see on the movie cars If you want that intensity of brightness and color you should opt for LED's. (that's what I have on my 98 Neon) They're more durable and look better. plus-they give you a lot more options! I have 1000 color combinations that I can choose from. (of course including red) Also i can make them go through several color programs and patterns. And probably the sweetest is that I have them hooked into my sub. I can choose the frequency and they go with the beat. i had mine installed at CarToys. roughly 900.00. But my Neon is lowered 4" and that added a lot to the cost of the install. You could by them on ebay-but then have to hook them up yourself.

Second! Watch your state laws. Cops love to bust you for lights. Im in Portland, OR. The laws here are that you must only run red colors. they can't be visible (the bars) in the front. And can't be on the 8 or 12 inches in front of your rear tires. look up your states law for the specifics. Just something to keep in mind before you invest your money in any type of underside lights. And if you do get them-keep a copy of your states regulations in your glove box. I can't tell you how many times its got me out of tickets. But then again I'm a 34JJ-so that probably helps when being pulled over too. LOL. Good luck.

I can think better things to do to a neon with $900, but I'm not a show person either though.

I know, I know...900.00 is a lot for lights. But they look SO cool!!! Besides I already have a lot of money put in under the hood...so why now a little on the outside

Re: under body neon

Femaleracer, that shop saw you coming! I sell LED kits that do the same thing you talk about for about $100 out the door or $250 installed for standard, one color systems. Multicolor with music sensor usually only slightly higher. Don't believe me, look on Ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/MILLI...66028628QQrdZ1

Re: under body neon

also, you shouldnt have to pay more because your car is lowered, thats the biggest bs ever. Its should be the same price. Heck I think they put my car on a lift to put mine on, They charged me 1 dollar for installation and 300 for the LEDs.

I know the lowered cost was legit. They had to have my lights on to install them, and I of course had them tucked in deeper under the frame. (due to OR laws.) It's too bad you're in MN...lol...or next time I get something expensive done I'd just take you with me

Re: under body neon

What a load of shit. OK, so you have a car that's lowered 3" and they charge extra $100 then if you have a truck that's got a 6" lift you should get a $100 credit right???? I NEVER charge extra due to the height of the vehicle.

Now, if the car's wiring is alread hacked and other issues, I may quote higher to try to recap any time spent fixing other things out of my control but that's it.

Sure your Ex didn't say what it cost just to get something in return???
