Backseat problem

Hi this is my first post.

I have a 04 extended cab and just bought a custom speakerbox to go under the backseat. I have never tried to lift the backseat up until yesterday and found out that it doesn't go up more then 3-4 inches!!!

I looked under the seat and nothing is blocking it. Any suggestions?

Re: Backseat problem

Are you pulling the teather on the front edge of the seat down and then up? That teather keeps the seat locked. That should be the only thing that keeps the seat down/locked.

Re: Backseat problem

Yeah thats the "latch" I was referring to.

I got my firend who owns a 03 Silverado to help me since he pulls his seat up all the time and he couldn't figure it out either.
