Air filters

K & N filters. I have heard good things about these filters, but will one of these really make a difference. I am just talking about the filter to fit in my stock air intake box. I am probably just going to upgrade to a cold air intake system but how much of a difference of horsepower and milage is there between a high-flow filter to fit in my cars stock box or the cold air intake system?

Re: Air filters

K&N filters flow more air, but also trap less contaminants. They also have les filtering surface, so you have to clean them often to keep their flow advantage. Read this article and see if your opinion of K&N (and other brands of reusable filters like Fram Air Hog) changes. Mine did. Thanks bnaylor3400 for the link to this article.
