2. when idleing my car idles at like 500 rmp and the whole thing shakes and viberates.. its pretty annoying and makes my car look like crap!

how`old are the plugs and wires ? it could be starving for fuel when was fuel filter last changed .air filter? car should idle at about700rpm for automatic 750 for standard. check label under hood to double check idle .

Re: 1994 Cavalier z24 Problems

I changed the plugs and air filter about 8 months ago, never changed the fuel filter, and the wires on the plugs look to be in fine condition, I was wondering if the grinding noise could be a wheel bearing.. if you have an idea of what it is please let me know thanks

Re: 1994 Cavalier z24 Problems

I had a problem with a grinding noisein the right front when I would turn to the left. Turns out when I did make a left turn, no matter how small of a movement, The exhaust pipe near the engine would rattle against the frame. It seemed to get worse as time went by. I took a grinder to the frame and removed a little metal. Grinding noise is gone and metal removal was minimal. You may want to check into this type of possibility
