|
amp getting constant power
I hooked up amp & sub it seems to be working ok (at low volume)problem is my amp is getting constant power to it.The remote wire is run from accessory fuse(only gets power when radio is on)The power wire is run straight from the battery(in line fuse)The ground wire is mounted in the trunk.any suggestions thanks.(06 civic si)

Check your turn on lead while the system is off and the lead is still connected to the amp. See if you still have power. Disconnect the turn on lead and test the input on the amp where the turn on lead would go. If you *still* have power to that input after the lead has been disconnected, then you have a problem with your amp's circuit board.

thanks install tech, my amp is functioning fine I'm wondering if bad ground connection may cause this problem or remote lead is in nonsuitable fuse slot(15A) any ideas?

sounds like your auto turn-on wire is connected to a constant 12V source
