light problems
hey i posted this in the nissan forum too and noone replied.
i was asking if anyone could give me some tips on how to troubleshoot my electrical problem. My 87 300zx headlights only go on when in the upright position. they should be able to go on when they are in the down position as well. the button in my car to lift the headlights up and down works only when my actual lights are off. i've seen my car with the headlights in the down position and i like the look a whole lot more. it would be great to solve this problem. thank you for your help |

Re: light problems
I had a '84 300ZX and I believe that the headlights turned on only when the units were in the upright position. Been so long I can't remember anyway.
![]() You'd probably be able to figure it out if you had the wiring diagram from the service manual.

Re: light problems
yeah unless the people i've seen with them on when down
did some extra work they should do that. why else would the slits be there in nose only covering 1/4 to 1/2 the light? why wouldn't it be like the 240sx or something when they close all the way? anyways, yeah i'm not too knowledgeable with electricity but i'll give it a shot. thanks for the reply |
