95 Parking Break Light

I have a 95 ranger stx 4.0. The Parking Break light seems to randomly go on and off. It does it whenever i accelerate or break. I made sure the break is not on, and i know its not stuck. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

The first thing that comes to mind is checking the brake fluid level. Other things that would come to mind is seeing if the parking brake pedal can turn the light on without being pushed down.

That did the trick. Should I keep an eye on the fluid level? Could that mean i have a leak or my pads are getting worn out
