i need quick fast help plsss

my car just broke down.. but not engine.. im soon to do college work and i need some quick fix its. my shift cable broke! there is two on the shifter one move when teh shifter goes left to right and the other (on the right side) is the one that broke. when the shifter goes up/down. i need some help as in maybe other cars that would work on a hyundai 1996 accent. 2 door. or some palces where i can find one. i called some palces but they want me to pay 175$!!! for both cables when i only need one. any inquiries.. send here and email if u can spare the time as i cant always visit the site sometimes.....
