I was wondering if there was a way to remove the cup holder.

I was wondering if there is a way to remove the cup holder in the center console. I have a 02 silverado. And I just want to pop out the cup holder and change it out with a new cup holder. Also do you think i could paint the cup holder without any problems ....

Is it the "two round holes forward, one long slot rear" with the "triangular shaped post" in the middle?

My cup holder just pops out. Grab the little triangle peice in the middle and pull.

P.S. There is a little room under the cup holder that some people like to use to hide valuables, or whatever.

Yeah, the "whatever" stays in there.

Just pull up. It's good for hiding things in
