just as a heads up on an issue i had for the rest of you, after a new 95 2.3l quad4 engine was installed it misfired like hell and had no power at all, i believe i was only running on 2 cylinders lol... well my mechanic informed me i needed a new coil for cylinders 3 and 4, so i went down to the nearest parts store and bought and installed it right there... that didnt do anything for it. messed with it a couple of hours, and after buying both coils and plug boots, testing the ignition control module, making sure i seated everything in it's proper place, etc. it only changed from random misfire from 1 to 3 cylinders to consistent misfire on cylinders 3 and 4. i called it quits and SLLLOOOWWWLLYY put-putted home. the next day i gave it another go, and found on the coil pack and plug boot housing (the white cheapmade plastic peice mounted under the aluminum engine cover) i found a small black spot about 1/16" round. i put some rtv (silicone sealant) on it, let it dry for about 5 minutes, and now it's running like hell *in a reallly good way that is

!
just a resolution for some out there having this problem. dont pay the $35 for a new housing from gm (which is a dealer only item) just buy a $2 tube of sealant! *oh yeah jbweld works too.. or bubblegum for you ghetto quadderz out there
