Heater core question

Just bought this cavi dude siad it had a bad heater core. But noteced today when doing spark plugs and wires and oil chang noticed two radiator hoses well what looked like them that ran from motor thur the firewall noticed it was cut. Think that would fix it?

Probably. But the hose must be pinched off or blocked somewhere to stop the coolant from coming out right. or it`s not cut thru. Don`t ever remember seeing a shut off valve for heater hose on a car, see them on big trucks but not cars. Just my

Yeah that is what messed with my head no coolant comes out of it makes me wonder where its going. This may help a little. when looking into engine bay from dirvers side it is the second hose. How would i go abut making it flow agian?

Yeah well come to find out that both the hoses are cut. I dont understand how fluid is not coming out? Do they make plugs like incase the heater core went bad? Cause the guy I bought it off of said the heater core was bad. But its not hooked up. How hard and what would i have to do to replace these hoses I dont have a book.
