99 center console rattle while idling

This seems to be a common problem as my sister has a 98 with the same issue. While at idle but still in gear, there is a rattling sound coming from somewhere beneath the center console. It doesn't sound like it is outside or under the car, but rather just beneath the center console. I just bought this 99 so before I go ripping the center console out to try to locate the noise, I am hoping someone out there already knows what it is. Any insight would be appreciated.
