Anyone know if a 2001 lumina and 99 can interchange parts?

I have a 2001, and found a decent spoiler i would like for it on ebay for 1995-1999 lumina's. i emailed the seller, and he said that his records dont show any 2001 luminas, so he cant guarentee that it would fit, thus being non returnable. i was just wondering if anyone knew if the trunk on my lumina is the same as the ones used on 95-99 luminas? thank you.

Re: Anyone know if a 2001 lumina and 99 can interchange parts?

how about the rims. I have a friend who totaled an ls, and she said i could have the rims and tires. i'm pretty sure they will fit, but they aren't of the quality i would like them. is there any way to strip the pld clear coat off, and refinish them? thanks

are you sure the deck lids are the same? how about refinishing the rims? anyone else? thanks maxwedge, i think i'll take a stab at the spoiler. if by some reason doesnt fit, anyone want to buy a spoiler, primed but not painted for a 95-99 lumina? i'll let you guys know what happens.

The body itself was the same from 95 to 01, the only differences come from the powerplants and electronics. If I recall, the 2000-2001 has a slightly different cluster code and has a BCM. As far as trim, wheels, body, and such, they're the same.

Re: Anyone know if a 2001 lumina and 99 can interchange parts?

The only other differences between 95-99 Luminas and 00-01 Luminas are that 00-01 models were sold as fleet only, and the only noticeable difference is that they have the LATCH car seat tethers on the package shelf (between rear window and back seat). And the availability of options. The cars are identical other than that.

The spoiler will fit.
